Stanley OHENHEN is an Associate Professor of Theatre Management Arts Administration, Advocacy and Entrepreneurship. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Arts of the University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria, an M.A and a PhD, both of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, specializing in Theatre Management and Arts Administration. Beside the focus of his doctoral dissertation, titled Management and Marketing Communications Strategies of the Musical Society of Nigeria (1983-2007), which is a huge contribution to the economics of the performing and arts and culture, his other main research focus in publications and presentations at local and international conferences have been about African indigenous epistemologies and practices relating to language revitalization and cultural renaissance, colonialism and the de-neocolonisation agenda of African Countries; Eco-criticism; the nexus between Theatre and Society, in the manner that African theatre and cultural practices such as drama, drumming, dance-theatre, drama, and music, and other indigenous performative activities contribute to the struggle against the continuous colonization of the Global South, and the degradation of the environment and the world climate. Stanley is also a research scholar in Gender Studies, Diversity and Inclusivity. He presently is the Provost of the College of Liberal Studies in Bowen University, Iwo, Nigeria, where he also teaches Theatre Management and Arts Administration, Entrepreneurship, Aesthetics, Gender Studies, and Performance Studies.
