Adebola Adewunmi Aderibigbe is an Associate Professor in the College of Computing & Communication Studies, Communication Arts Programme. He holds BSc., MSc. and PhD degrees in Mass Communication. He started his teaching career at the Institute of Security (Nigeria) in 2008 before crossing to Bowen University in 2011. His areas of research interests are: Applied/Development Communication, Communication and National Security and Expressive Communication. He has researched extensively on these areas and presented papers at both national and international conferences and workshops.

Research
His research interest is in the area of Applied/Developmental Communication with bias in Broadcast Communication. He has investigated issues around media usage among women for health intervention and political participation. He has also investigated issues around media and national security, particularly how the Agenda Setting functions of the media guide their operation in prioritising the issues of security at broad and specific levels.
