Agaptus NWOZOR holds a Professorial Chair in Political Science and International Relations Programme at Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State, Nigeria.
In addition to rendering service to the university system in various capacities as Head of Department, Dean of College, University Librarian and member of the University senate, Nwozor has occupied top administrative positions in government, including serving as the Special Assistant to the Board Chairman, National Eye Centre, Kaduna, and Special Assistant to the Hon. Commissioner for Special Duties, Government House, Awka, Anambra State. He has also headed a high profile Consultancy Consortium in the built industry where he attracted high-net worth clientele across several sectors.
Nwozor’s teaching and research interests are eclectic and diverse and span the entire spectrum of international political economy and development studies, human rights, foreign policy analysis, African politics and psephology, peace and conflict studies as well global environmental politics and energy policy. Nwozor has contributed over 100 articles to leading high-impact social sciences and multidisciplinary journals and chapters in books with over 40 of them indexed in Scopus. He has also served as a guest editor and reviewer to several journals. He currently serves as Associate Editor, Humanities and Social Sciences Communication
He is a member of many learned and professional associations, including Nigeria Political Science Association (NPSA).
Nwozor is currently the Director-designate, Bowen Open, Distance and E-learning Centre and Programme Coordinator, Political Science and International Relations.
