Public Health Programme

A Professor of Audiology and Public Health. I was the first and still the first Professor of Audiology and Public Health combined together at Obafemi Awololowo University, Ile-Ife, since its establishment in 1961. My research areas are: prevention of communicable and non-communicable diseases, prevention of hearing problems, assessment of hearing problems (Audiology), school health programme and adolescent reproductive health education. I am currently the Programme Coordinator for Public Health Programme, College of Health Sciences at Bowen University. Under my Headship at Bowen University, the National University Commission (NUC) gave full accreditation to the Public Health Programme for the next four years in their reports that was released in March, 2023.

Research

My major research that I have done are of two folds: First, we engaged in look for factors that contribute to diarrohea diseases among under-five children in rural areas in Ife South LGA, Osun State, Nigeria in 2006/2007.
Second, I served as Principal Investigator in a research that was carried out for the assessment of the Incidences of Cross-Generational Sexual Activities in Some LGAS in Osun State: Implication for the Control of HIV/AIDS in SW, Nigeria.
