Dr. Oboh holds an Assistant of Professor position with the college of Agriculture,Engineering and Sciences, Bowen University, Iwo, Nigeria, a postdoctoral research position with the Medical Research Council Unit, The Gambia, and an associate Senior lecturer position with the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo State.
Education
- Ph.D. (Molecular Parasitology and mclc), niversité Cheikh Anta Diop, Dakar, 2019.
- M.Sc. (Parasitology and Bioinformatics – Distinction), University of Lagos 2014.
- B.Sc. (Zoology with major in Applied Parasitology – first Class Honours), University of Lagos 2010
Research
I am a molecular biologist interested in unravelling the bi-directonal dynamics between the human gut microbiome -HGM and Plasmodium falciparum infection.
I am also employing new traditional as well as next generation seqencing in elucidating the spate-temporal profiles of malaria drug resistance genes and vaccine candidate antigens in Nigeria.
