Olayinka Modupe Onayemi holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology, with special bias for the study of Crime, Deviance and Antisocial Behaviors from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She is an academic with a research interest in child protection/child welfare advocacy. She is a Member of Nigeria Society for Criminology, and a Fellow of Africa Early Childhood Network.

Research
Her research niche revolves around studying crimes, deviances and antisocial behaviors on the corridor of child protection agencies and structures designated for children to survive, thrive and transform. This is with a view to influence policies and practices within this domain and, ultimately, to ensure that all categories of children have their rights and privileges protected.
