O. D. Ninan holds a Bachelor of Science honours degree in Applied Physics (Electronics) from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. She received her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Her present employment is teaching and research as an academic staff at the Computer Science and Engineering Department, Faculty of Technology, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Her area of interest is in intelligent systems, Natural language processing, knowledge engineering, knowledge representation, and reasoning, using machine-learning techniques for automatic extraction of structured information from text. Focusing on the formal specification and computational modeling of Narratives texts of local languages and deploying them in the development of new ideas and artifacts for learning resources.
She is a registered Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), Association for Phoneticians and Phonologists in Nigeria (APPN), Association for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN).

An Investigation of Flood Risks and Vulnerabilities Associated with Intense Precipitation Events in Nigeria.
Development of Indigenous Multiplatform/Multilingual Digital Animation System for Nigerian Children.
Development of a Multilingual Electronic Point of Sale System for Small Medium Enterprises in Nigeria.
Development of a 3D visualisation interface that can give users functionalities for making dynamic access to and querying a 3D database over a computer network. A mobile game-based learning system for Yorùbá diacritics that provides an interesting means of learning its diacritics insertion procedure for effective reading and writing in the language has been developed. Furthermore, a bilingual electronic dictionary (ED) for automatic translation of English text to equivalent Bassa language text alongside its corresponding audio pronunciation on an Android-based mobile device was also developed. Production of Indigenous Animated Cartoons for Children. Etc.
