Agriculture Programme
Prof. Olufunmilayo Titilayo Ande is a Research Professor with main thrust in land use management for sustainable crop production. She has over 28 years’ experience in agricultural research, land evaluation for sustainable soil management strategies, teaching, and technology deployment through training of various categories of stakeholders. She is a scientist that has broad knowledge of problems of soil management based on sound land evaluation background which she has demonstrated in soil mapping and fertility assessment projects. She is also actively involved in the participatory development and dissemination of technical innovations for enhancing resource use efficiencies in smallholder agricultural systems and climate smart agriculture. She has coordinated and trained farmers and extension staff on different aspects of sustainable soil use, soil fertility assessment, erosion control, suitability assessment for various crops and good agricultural practices. She has over forty papers in reputable refereed journals and edited conferences. She has participated or coordinated in research projects and consultancies funded by the Government of Nigeria, WAAPP, World bank, IFAD, FAO, AGRA, APNI and many private companies.
