Research
My research focuses on Community/Public psychosocial problems such as violence, aggression, intimate partner violence and issues related to them. I have explored various forms, patterns and causes of violence and aggression against healthcare workers in hospital settings. The findings enabled me to develop a local framework for the prevention and management of workplace violence against healthcare workers in Nigeria.
Mental health-related problems such as depression, anxiety and stress are some of the concepts I have worked on. I have been able to determine the levels among students, pregnant women and the general public. Not only that, I have explored resources capable of promoting mental health, reducing psychiatric symptoms, and coping with daily life challenges. Daily life challenges range from the stress of daily living, vocational problems, academic issues, distress during pregnancy, and psychological distress among patients and relatives in hospital settings.
