Research
The issue of core interest in my research endeavour is how the application of Communication to development, otherwise known as communication for development (C4D) can be made optimally beneficial to people around the world, especially remote, hard-to-reach rural dwellers. The short term goal is to introduce an all inclusive development communication research agenda while the long term goal is to improve development communication outcomes for remote, hard-to-reach populations. I believe very strongly that this will contribute to the current worldwide goal of reducing poverty, social inequalities and underdevelopment persisting in global systems especially in regions with high poverty burden such as Sub-Saharan Africa.
My on-going research work include:
- Do Urban Slum Dwellers Matter to E-health Projects in Africa?
- Gender and Social Equalities in ICT Interventions in Health: An Assessment of E-Health Projects in Nigeria
- ICT and Climate Change Communication in Africa: Issues, Approaches and Strategies
- Social Equality in E-health Initiatives: An Assessment of ICT for Saving One Million Lives programmes in Nigeria
- Teenage Pregnancy: A study of E-health Information Benefits to Adolescents Girls in West Africa.
