Peter Oluyemi ADEDEJI
LECTURER II
college of HEALTH SCIENCES (COHES)
NURSING SCIENCE Programme
Peter Oluyemi Adedeji is a young, dynamic Lecturer of Nursing Science with specialty in Clinical, Educational and Community Health Nursing Informatics. He is a research and ICT enthusiast with over a decade experience in the application of digital computing to diverse areas of Clinical Nursing Specialties, Nursing Education, School Health, Social Media for Health, Patient Counseling e-Portals and Virtual Health Communities. Peter actively participated in the development of the first Online Distance Learning Programme for Nursing as an ICT/Program Assistant at the Centre for Distance Learning, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 2008. Ever since then, Peter has continuously developed his academic, research and digital skills for effective user-centered solutions based on notable Usability Theories and eHealth Implementation Frameworks. The indigenous EHR implementation frameworks are aimed at achieving successful implementation of Electronic Nursing Care Systems in resource-constrained settings, especially in sub-Sahara African countries. This approach has led to high-level Usability and Meaningful Use of Electronic Health Records among Nurses, due to unique and copyrighted Documentation Templates that are compliant with global Standardized Nursing Languages. His favorite courses are Research in Nursing, Biostatistics, Entrepreneurship, Epidemiology and Disease Management Information System, Curriculum and Teaching Methodologies, Health Economics, and Big Data Analytics using low-code programming languages. Peter is currently a Ph.D. student at the Department of Nursing Science, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He is an avid reader, philosopher and gardener.
