Professor Eyesan Samuel Uwale served as Chief Medical Director of Bowen University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso and also as Dean of Faculty of Clinical Sciences of the College of Health Sciences of the Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State of Nigeria. 

He is a Fellow of the Medical College of Surgeon of Nigeria (FMCS ORTHO) and a member of International Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons (SICOT). He is an UICC Oncology Fellow (ICRETT) and a life member, Association of UICC Fellows (AUF).

Professor Eyesan is an active member of AORTIC. He has been involved in the teaching of orthopaedic residents for over 20 years. He is a pioneer in the subspecialty of Orthopaedic Oncology in the Country and he instituted the subspecialty practice and training at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos, Nigeria after his UICC training in the year 2000 at the Karolinska Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden. He has attended over 20 International Conferences and over 80% of these are oncology related with emphasis on Bone and Soft Tissue Oncology. He has several publications and over 90% of these are in Musculoskeletal Oncology.

He is a member of the Faculty Board of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria and an examiner at both the part I and II (Final Fellowship) examinations of the College.

  • Pattern of Femoral Fractures as seen at Ogbomoso.
  • Removal of impacted Flexible Powered Rimmer from the Femoral shaft canal during Open Kuncher Nailing.
