Bowen University as emerged has the overall winner of the 2019 Nigerian Universities’ Programming Contest (NUCPC). Represented by a team of programmers which comprise of Adebayo Emmanuel, Adekanbi Josteve, and James Oreoluwa, Bowen University defeated other participating universities, and will now lead the Nigerian contingent to the Africa and Arab Collegiate Programming Championship in Egypt.
The contest which takes place annually, seeks to foster creativity, teamwork and innovation in building new software programmes, while ensuring that students test their abilities to perform under pressure. The Africa and Arab Collegiate Programming Championship will take place in November.
