Bowen University receives accolades at the 5th Abuja International Model United Nations (AIMUN 2020).
The 5th AIMUN was sponsored by the United Nations Information Centre, and the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
AIMUN is the most authentic simulation of the United Nations activities that offers educational platform for upcoming leaders to engage in current international issues and challenges, multilateral negotiations, diplomacy and compromise tendencies, debating skills, critical thinking and other requisite skills, tools and knowledge required to keep up with the future leadership tasks ahead of them.
The Conference held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja, from January 28-31, 2020.
One of the delegates of Bowen University, Ajayi Samuel, representing the Kingdom of Netherlands won the highly coveted OVERALL BEST DELEGATE Award. Amidst delegates from other universities including University of Ibadan, Obafemi Awolowo University, University of Nigeria, Babcock University amongst others. The other Bowen University delegates were not left out as they also performed excellently during both plenary and committee sessions, carting home the following awards:
