2023/2024 Extended Remedial Programme (ERP)

In preparation for the commencement of the Extended Remedial Programme (ERP) for the 2023/2024 Session, the following has been approved by the management and now circulated for our information and necessary action.

  1. 2023/2024 ERP TIME – TABLE

  1. CATEGORIES OF STUDENTS ELIGIBLE FOR THE PROGRAMME

Please find the list of these categories of students as summarized below:

  1. 100 level students and direct entry students who resumed late for the first semester who would not need to pay ERP fees.
  2. Student’s across-colleges who could not write examinations due to ill health.
  3. Students who registered and failed the courses.
  4. Students who come to write only failed courses.
  5. Students who come to complete their projects.
  6. Students who could not write the just concluded Second Semester Examination (2023/2024) due to non-payment of fees.

The maximum number of credits permitted for registration by non-graduating students is still twelve (12) credits. Extra credits are permitted for students in their final year. For this category of students, they are permitted a maximum of two (2) extra credits at a fee.

The structure of the required fees for the 2023/2024 ERP were as follows:

a.One Course₦102,000
b.Two Courses₦190,000
c.More than two courses
but not more than 12 units		₦255,000
d.Extra-credit for Graduating students 
with a maximum 14 units		₦31, 500/credit unit
e.Completion of project during ERP₦130,000

Tutorial method would be adopted for students that had no issues with late resumption during the first semester. For students who resumed late, the lecture method will be adopted for them taking into consideration their peculiarity and in order to stay tune to the vision of Bowen University to produce outstanding graduates. Tutorials and lectures will run for a period of four weeks.

Examinations will hold for both Semesters from 2nd September, 2024 to 6th September, 2024.
