1. TEACHING POSITIONS

• COLLEGE: College of Law
• POSITIONS:
  • Professors
  • Associate Professors (Readers)

  • Lecturer I
• QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Professors
    Candidate must possess the following Qualifications:
    • Possession of LLB, LLM and PhD in Law.
    • Must have been called to the Bar.
    • NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
    • Previous adequate University teaching experience of at least twelve (12) years with sufficient professional and administrative experience.
    • Show evidence of scholarly publications in SCOPUS-based journals and conferences.
    • Evidence of maturity, good academic leadership and integrity.
    • Other required skills include University teaching, Educational testing, Examination preparation and grading, and Training/Research programme planning and delivery.
  • Associate Professors (Readers)
    Candidate must possess the following Qualifications:
    • Possession of LLB, LLM and PhD in Law.
    • Must have been called to the Bar.
    • NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
    • Previous adequate University teaching experience of at least ten (10) years with sufficient professional and administrative experience.
    • Show evidence of scholarly publications in SCOPUS-based journals and conferences.
    • Evidence of maturity, good academic leadership and integrity.
    • Other required skills include University teaching, Educational testing, Examination preparation and grading, and Training/Research programme planning and delivery.
  • Assistant Professors (Senior Lecturers)
    Candidate must possess the following Qualifications:
    • Possession of LLB, LLM and PhD in Law.
    • Must have been called to the Bar.
    • NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
    • Previous adequate University teaching experience of at least six (6) years with sufficient professional and administrative experience.
    • Show evidence of scholarly publications in SCOPUS-based journals and conferences.
    • Evidence of maturity, good academic leadership and integrity.
    • Other required skills include University teaching, Educational testing, Examination preparation and grading, and Training/Research programme planning and delivery.
  • Lecturer I
    Candidate must possess the following Qualifications:
    • Possession of LLB, LLM and PhD in Law.
    • Must have been called to the Bar.
    • NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
    • Previous adequate University teaching experience of at least not less than four (4) years with sufficient professional and administrative experience.
    • Show evidence of scholarly publications in SCOPUS-based journals and conferences.
    • Evidence of maturity, good academic leadership and integrity.
    • Other required skills include University teaching, Educational testing, Examination preparation and grading, and Training / Research programme planning and delivery.

2. NON-TEACHING POSITION

• DIRECTORATE: Directorate of Quality Assurance
• POSITION:
  • Compliance Officer
• QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • The candidate must possess 5 ‘O’ level credits in one sitting or 6 ‘O’ level credits in two sittings, including English and Mathematics as well as a first university degree or its equivalent not below Second Class Lower Division, from a recognised institution in any of the disciplines of Management Sciences, Social Sciences, Arts, or Humanities. Degrees or training in human behaviour/psychology will be an added advantage.
  • The NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
  • Good problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good temperament, empathy and maintaining a professional image.
  • Proactive, takes personal responsibility and can go beyond the call of duty.
  • Must have high moral integrity and be firm in decision-making.
  • Energetic and a good team player, engaging, approachable and available to students.
  • Digital soft skills.

3. REMUNERATIONS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

Bowen University offers a unique remuneration package similar to other tertiary institutions. The University is a fully residential institution for all undergraduate students, and all staff are expected to reside in Iwo or Ogbomoso, as the case may be.
