Information to Parents
On behalf of Bowen University Management, I extend our heartfelt appreciation for your unwavering support and partnership in shaping the lives of our students. Your dedication to their academic and moral development is not just invaluable, but it is the very foundation of our mission. We remain committed to upholding the highest standards of Godliness and Excellence, and your role in this cannot be overstated.
As we approach the resumption of the Second Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Session on Monday, March 3, 2025, I seek your cooperation in guiding your wards in complying with the University’s rules and regulations. The University upholds a culture of discipline, and any violation of established guidelines, as outlined in the Student Handbook, will not be tolerated. Therefore, I request your assistance and cooperation to instill obedience to school rules to avoid sanctions. We are hoping for a sanction-free semester with your cooperation.
To ensure a conducive academic and social environment, students are required to adhere strictly to all guidelines in the Student Handbook and the following highlighted guidelines:
- Wearing ID Cards: All students must always wear their ID cards. Access to the University premises will only be granted to those who comply. Wearing ID cards on campus is COMPULSORY.
- Grooming Standards for Male Students: Male students are not permitted to keep beards, have bushy hair, or wear necklaces on campus.
- Unapproved dressing: Students, especially male students, should avoid wearing unapproved hoodies and shorts outside the hostels.
- Dress Code for Chapel Services and Classes: All students must strictly dress formally for chapel services and classes.
- Hair Guidelines for Female Students: Female students are not PERMITTED to wear multi-coloured hair attachments or any hair extensions longer than neck-length.
- Additionally, security is everyone’s responsibility. We want parents to help disseminate this message to their wards, always be security conscious, and report suspecting activities when necessary.
Once again, I appreciate your cooperation. Your understanding and support are crucial in ensuring a successful and productive semester for all our students.
Kind regards!
Signed.
