Resource Acquisition and Management:

• Select, acquire, and organize print and electronic materials in line with the University’s academic needs.
• Maintain an updated catalog of books, journals, and reference materials across disciplines.
• Manage subscriptions to electronic databases and scholarly journals.

Reference and Research Support:

• Offer guidance in literature searches, citation management, and academic referencing.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops on information literacy and research skills.
• Provide one-on-one support for staff and students in locating and using academic resources.

Institutional Repository and Open Access:

• Host the University’s digital collections, including theses, dissertations, faculty publications, and conference papers.
• Promote open access to Bowen’s scholarly output in line with global academic best practices.

Digital and Electronic Services:

• Provide access to a wide range of e-books, e-journals, and academic databases.
• Support online access through the Bowen University Library Portal.
• Enable remote research and learning through digital repositories and institutional archives.

Student Accounts and Financial Services:

• Maintain detailed records of student fee payments and balances.
• Provide students and guardians with clear financial information and payment support.
• Work closely with the Directorate of Student Support Services to resolve financial queries.

User Services and Facilities:

• Provide conducive reading spaces, group discussion rooms, and computer terminals.
• Facilitate borrowing, renewal, and reservation of library materials.
• Support users with reference assistance and inter-library loan services.
