Anatomy
In the Anatomy programme, faculty at Bowen delves into the study of the structure and function of the human body, making graduates poised for careers in medicine, research, academia, and healthcare administration. - O’LEVEL: Five (5) credit passes in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
- JAMB: English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Doctor of Physiotherapy
Bowen, the first private university in Nigeria to offer a Bachelor of Physiotherapy programme, is also the first Nigerian private university to offer the Doctor of Physiotherapy [DPT] programme, focusing on advanced education, training, clinical practice and research in physiotherapy, preparing graduates for a broader scope of practice and more complex clinical cases compared to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy programme. Graduates are equipped for roles in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, sporting institutions, and academic institutions. The DPT has become the standard entry-level degree for practicing as a physical therapist in many advanced countries. Programme entry requirements:

- JAMB: English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Medical Laboratory Science
Medical Laboratory Science trains students in clinical laboratory procedures and analyses. Graduates are prepared for careers in medical diagnostics, research, public health, and academia. Bowen offers hands-on experience, modern laboratories, and expert faculty, ensuring a strong foundation for success in the BMLS programme. Requirements:
- O’LEVEL: Five (5) credit passes in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- JAMB: English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Medicine and Surgery
With opportunities to intercalate in Biochemistry, Anatomy or Physiology, the Medicine and Surgery programme at Bowen trains students to become competent medical professionals. Graduates can pursue careers as doctors, surgeons, researchers, and healthcare administrators. Bowen’s programme offers a comprehensive curriculum, and clinical experience at the university’s teaching hospital, providing a solid foundation for a successful career path. Nursing Science
The Nursing Science programme at Bowen prepares students for a fulfilling career in nursing with quad certifications: B.Nsc (Bachelor of Nursing Science), RM (Registered Midwife), RN (Registered Nurse), and RPHN (Registered Public Health Nurse).
