About the CHAPEL
The University Worship Centre at Bowen University is the spiritual heart of the campus, dedicated to nurturing the faith, character, and moral integrity of students, staff, and the University community. Grounded in the Christian principles of Excellence and Godliness, the Worship Centre provides a serene and uplifting environment for worship, reflection, and spiritual growth. It plays a vital role in shaping well-rounded graduates who are not only academically competent but also spiritually grounded.

Our Mission
To guide, nurture, and inspire students and staff in their spiritual journey through worship, counselling, outreach, and faith-based programs that complement academic and personal development.
Core Functions of the chapel
Campus Worship Services:
- Conduct regular chapel services, including weekly worship and special spiritual programs.
- Provide a platform for students, staff, and guests to engage in prayer, praise, and reflection.
Faith-Based Programs and Activities:
- Organize seminars, workshops, retreats, and conferences to deepen spiritual understanding.
- Facilitate student-led Christian fellowships, outreach programs, and ministry initiatives.
Community Outreach and Service:
- Encourage the University community to engage in acts of service, evangelism, and social impact.
- Promote a culture of compassion, ethical responsibility, and moral leadership on campus and beyond.
Spiritual Guidance and Counselling:
- Offer pastoral care and counselling for students and staff on spiritual, personal, and moral issues.
- Guide students in making faith-informed life decisions and developing strong Christian character.
Collaboration with University Units:
- Work closely with the Directorate of Student Support Services, faculties, and student organizations to integrate spiritual development with academic and personal growth.
- Provide support for special events, celebrations, and ceremonies with spiritual guidance.
