About the Directorate
The Directorate of Admissions, Examinations and Ceremonies (DAEC) is a strategic administrative arm of Bowen University committed to ensuring excellence, integrity, and efficiency in student admissions, academic examinations, and official university ceremonies. The Directorate plays a central role in supporting the University’s academic mission by coordinating transparent admission processes, maintaining examination standards, and organizing memorable institutional ceremonies that reflect the values and traditions of Bowen University.
The Directorate is dedicated to delivering seamless services that support students from admission through graduation while upholding the University’s commitment to godliness, excellence, and leadership.
Our Core Responsibilities
Admissions Administration
The Directorate coordinates the admission process for undergraduate, postgraduate, transfer, and direct-entry students into Bowen University.
This includes processing applications, verifying admission requirements, managing admission records, and ensuring that admissions are conducted fairly and transparently in line with University and regulatory guidelines.
Academic Records and Certification
The Directorate maintains accurate academic records for students and facilitates the processing of results, transcripts, statements of results, and certificates.
We ensure secure documentation and timely academic record services that support students and alumni throughout their academic and professional journeys.
Examination Coordination and Management
The Directorate oversees the planning and coordination of University examinations to ensure credibility, fairness, and compliance with academic regulations.
This includes examination scheduling, supervision support, processing examination results, and maintaining the integrity of assessment procedures across all Colleges and programmes.
Convocation and Ceremonial Services
The Directorate coordinates major University ceremonies including matriculation, convocation, inaugural lectures, public lectures, and special institutional events.
Through effective planning and organization, we ensure that University ceremonies reflect the dignity, excellence, and traditions of Bowen University.
