The Directorate serves as the central hub for coordinating, facilitating, and supporting research activities that contribute to academic growth, national development, and global knowledge advancement.

Core Functions of DRSP
Research Coordination:
- Support faculty, staff, and postgraduate students in developing and executing research projects.
- Facilitate research proposal development and ensure compliance with ethical and institutional standards.
- Maintain a central repository of ongoing and completed research projects for institutional reporting and visibility.
Research Funding and Grant Support:
- Assist faculty and students in sourcing and applying for local and international research grants.
- Provide training in grant writing, research project management, and compliance with funding requirements.
Research Dissemination and Publications:
- Facilitate the publication of research outputs in reputable journals, conference proceedings, and University reports.
- Promote research findings through conferences, exhibitions, media features, and digital platforms to enhance Bowen University’s visibility.
Capacity Building:
- Organize workshops, seminars, and training programs to enhance research skills and innovation among staff and students.
- Promote mentorship programs linking experienced researchers with early-career academics and postgraduate students.
