Communication Arts
Bowen’s Communication Arts programme offers comprehensive training in media production, public speaking, and creative writing. With state-of-the-art facilities, expert faculty, and a focus on practical skills, Bowen is the ideal place to train candidates for successful careers in Writing & Publishing, Crisis Communication, Brand Management, Editing, SEO Specialisation, Speechwriting, Communication Consulting, and more. Programme entry requirements:
- O’LEVEL: Five (5) credit passes or equivalent including English, Literature in English and any three other Arts or Social Science subjects in addition to a minimum of Pass in Mathematics.
- JAMB: English, Literature in English, History/Government/Civic Education and any other Arts/Social Science subject.
Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, and Software Engineering
Our programmes in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, and Software Engineering offer cutting-edge education in software development, data analysis, digital security, and IT solutions. Graduates can pursue careers in tech industries, cybersecurity firms, IT consultancy, and software development. - Computer Science
- O’LEVEL: Five (5) credit passes to include English, Mathematics, Physics and any two from Further Mathematics/Biology/Agricultural Science/Chemistry/Economics/Technical Drawing/Basic Electronics/Electronics/Computer Studies/Data Processing.
- JAMB: English, Mathematics, Physics and one (1) of Biology/Chemistry/Agric Science/Economics/Geography.
- Cyber Security
- O’LEVEL: Five (5) credit passes to include English, Mathematics, Physics and two (2) other science subjects.
- JAMB: English, Mathematics, Physics and one (1) of Biology/Chemistry/Agric Science/Economics/Geography.
- Information Technology
- O’LEVEL: Five (5) credit passes to include English, Mathematics, Physics and two (2) other science subjects.
- JAMB: English, Mathematics, Physics and one (1) of Biology/Chemistry/Agric Science/Economics/Geography.
- Software Engineering
- O’LEVEL: Five (5) credit passes in English, Mathematics, and three (3) other Science subjects.
- JAMB: English, Mathematics, Economics and any one of Chemistry/Physics/Biology/Geography.
Mass Communication
Home to alumni like Kie-Kie, Damilola and Joshua Mike-Bamiloye, and Bolu Essien, the Mass Communication programme prepares students for dynamic careers. With hands-on training, state-of-the-art facilities which include a radio station and recording studios, and experienced faculty, Bowen provides the perfect environment for aspiring professionals in Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising & Marketing, Digital Media & Content Creation, Corporate Communication, Crisis Management, Broadcasting, Film & Television Production, and Event/Publicity Management, to excel and make a significant impact in the media industry. Programme entry requirements:
- O’LEVEL: Five (5) credit passes in English, Mathematics, Literature-in-English and two other subjects in Arts/Social Sciences/Business/General subjects
- JAMB: English, Literature-in-English and any two (2) others from Government/History/Christian Religious Studies/Economics/Geography/Commerce.
