Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
On this day, 3rd July 2025, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Bowen University and CATO foods and Agroallied Global Concepts. The signing of this industry-university collaboration was done by the Vice-Chancellor of Bowen University, Prof Jonathan Babalola and Mr. Pelumi Aribisala, the Director General/Chief Executive, CATO foods and Agroallied Global Concepts.
Both parties agreed to collaborate on RESEARCH (product development and product testing), VALUE ADDITION (entrepreneurship training, seminars and internships), and SEED SYSTEM AND PRODUCTION, among others.
The remarkable event was witnessed by the principal officers of the university together with Prof Ademola Ayeleso (Director of Research and Strategic Partnerships), Dr James Akinbode (Deputy Director of Research and Strategic Partnerships) and the provost of the College of Agriculture, Engineering and Science (COAES), Prof Abimbola Owoseni. Other faculty members from COAES present were Prof Bolanle Otegbayo (Prof of Food Science and Technology as well as Provost of College of Postgraduate Studies), Prof Michael Afolabi (HOP, Food Science and Technology), Prof Olufemi Alabi (HOP, Agriculture) and Prof Abel Oguntunji from the Agriculture programme.
