Happy Workers’ Day
The Vice-Chancellor of Bowen University, Professor Jonathan O. Babalola, FAS, has felicitated with members of staff on the occasion of the 2026 International Workers’ Day, describing them as the driving force behind the continued growth and success of the institution.

In a release to all staff by the Head of Information, Protocol, and Public Relations, Havilah Sam-Aliyu, Prof. Babalola expressed deep appreciation for their dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the Bowen vision, noting that their individual and collective indispensable contributions have sustained the University’s progress over the years.
He stated that the achievements recorded by the University are a direct reflection of the sacrifices and service of its workforce, adding that without their efforts, Bowen would not be able to move forward.
“I sincerely appreciate every member of staff for your commitment and labour of love. Every lecture delivered, every process managed, and every life impacted speaks to your dedication. I pray that God Almighty will reward each of you abundantly for your service,” he said.
Professor Babalola also encouraged staff members to remain steadfast and committed to their responsibilities, urging those who may feel weary or less motivated to see Bowen University as a divine assignment entrusted into their hands.
According to him, “Bowen is not just an institution, it is God’s own project. Each of us has a role to play in ensuring that the vision of our founding fathers continues to shine brightly. I pray that God grants us renewed strength and the grace to give our very best in all we do.”
The Vice-Chancellor further extended special appreciation to staff on essential duties who remained at their posts during the public holiday, commending their sacrifice and dedication to service.
“Your commitment does not go unnoticed. You exemplify the true spirit of service, and I pray that the Lord will strengthen and reward you abundantly,” he added.
He reaffirmed the University’s commitment to continued growth and excellence, while encouraging all staff to work together in advancing the Bowen vision, and concluded by wishing all staff a happy and fulfilling Workers’ Day.
