Candidates must possess the following:- Relevant degrees of BMLS, M.Sc. MLS, and Ph.D. from a recognised University.

To be qualified for the position, candidates must possess a minimum of 14 years cognate experience and any of the following:- M.Sc. (or equivalent) in Architecture from a recognised institution plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate. Membership/Fellowship of relevant professional body and a higher degree will be an added advantage. In addition, the candidate must be duly registered with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON).
- M.Sc. in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering from a recognised institution plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate. Membership/Fellowship of relevant professional body and a higher degree will be an added advantage. In addition, the candidate must be duly registered with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
- M.Sc. in Building from a recognised institution plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate. Membership/Fellowship of relevant professional body and a higher degree will be an added advantage. In addition, the candidate must be duly registered with the Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON).
- M.Sc. in Quantity Surveying from a recognised institution plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate. Membership/Fellowship of relevant professional body and a higher degree will be an added advantage. In addition, the candidate must be duly registered with the Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria (QSRBN).
OR

DUTIES
The Director of Estate Management is a senior management officer of the University and is responsible to the ViceChancellor for the daytoday Physical/Infrastructural Facilities Planning, Development and Management in the University. The successful candidate must possess a vast knowledge of project management and would be required to:- Coordinate the activities and general administration of the Directorate.
- Provide advice to the ViceChancellor, Senate/Council on matters relating to the physical and infrastructural development of the University.
- Provide advice to the ViceChancellor, Senate/Council on matters relating to facility maintenance of the University.
- Make recommendations on appointments of Consultants and Contractors for the University projects and monitors their activities after engagement by the University.
- Prepare tenders and provide evaluation, analysis and reporting of cost implications on contractual issues.
- Monitor and supervise all constructions/projects embarked upon by the University right from the planning stage to the completion stage.
- Prepare and monitor the University’s capital budget in conjunction with the Bursary Department.
- Recommend petty job requests from Physical Planning and Works and Services Units within the limit for the approval of the ViceChancellor.
- Report the activities of the Directorate to the Vice-Chancellor.
- Perform such other related duties as may be assigned by the ViceChancellor.

4. DIRECTORATE OF SECURITY SERVICES
- POSITION:
- Principal Security Officer (BUSS 12)
- QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Candidates must possess the following:- A good honours degree in Security Studies, Peace and Conflicts Studies, Humanities, Social Sciences, Law and Education not below 2nd Class Lower division with at least ten (10) years cognate experience in a related job;
or - A retired Military Officer of not below the rank of Captain or a Deputy Superintendent of Police or equivalent position in other paramilitary institutions with at least twelve (12) years’ experience and other relevant qualifications on the job with evidence of Certificate of Service.
DUTIES
The Principal Security Officer will be in charge of the investigation unit, and have the task of investigating all cases, including security related cases that concern students and staff of the institution.
Pursuant to his responsibilities on investigation, he shall, amongst other duties;- Perform at a higher level the duties specified for a Senior Security Officer.
- Ensure that the training of security personnel is carried out as directed by the Chief Security Officer.
- Ensure maintenance of good relationship and liaison with Nigeria Police as well as other security agencies to enhance security on the University campus.
- Facilitate a good working relationship with the host community and work closely with the ViceChancellor’s office to promote the same.
Be responsible to the chief security officer to ensure that security matters on campus are effectively addressed. - Perform other duties as may be assigned by the CSO.
- A good honours degree in Security Studies, Peace and Conflicts Studies, Humanities, Social Sciences, Law and Education not below 2nd Class Lower division with at least ten (10) years cognate experience in a related job;
5. DIRECTORATE OF STUDENTS’ SUPPORT SERVICES
- POSITION:
- Counsellor
- QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Candidates must possess the following:- A good first degree not below SecondClass Lower, in Guidance and Counselling/Psychology from any recognized institution. (A Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counselling will be an added advantage).
- NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate
- Good character or high integrity with excellent communication skills
- At least two (2) years of cognate experience in a school setting.
6. DEPARTMENT: Timothy Olagbemiro University Library
- POSITION:

- QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Candidates for the position of Library Officer II must possess the following:- A first degree in Library and Information Sciences or its equivalent and Master in Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree or its equivalent from a recognised University.
- The National Youth Service (NYSC) Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
- Attention to details and a high level of accuracy in work;
- Digital soft skills proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software.

Bowen University runs a unique remuneration package, similar to what is obtainable in other tertiary institutions. The University is a fully residential institution. Consequently, the staff of the University are expected to reside around Iwo or Ogbomoso, as the case may be.
